Americans forget 40–80% of physician instructions immediately after appointments, and caregivers managing care at home often lack sufficient context—driving preventable errors, wasted spend, and poor outcomes. At the same time, AI scribes have rapidly proliferated on the provider side, capturing clinical encounters but largely optimizing for documentation rather than patient understanding or follow-through. Kin addresses this by creating a patient-owned AI context layer across healthcare interactions, capturing what happens during visits and supporting execution between them.
